Two columns are two appliances that happen to stand side by side
A refrigerator column beside a freezer column, or two of either, are separate units. Each has its own refrigeration system and its own control, and each can be diagnosed and repaired without touching the other.

Replacing one column raises questions the old one never did

The panels are a second question. A new panel made to the old pattern sits beside fronts that have had years of light and cleaning, and whether it reads as a match is judged with a sample in the kitchen, not from a catalog.
